The Maytag 7.0 cu. ft. Top Load Gas Wrinkle Prevent Dryer has been a great addition to our home. It dries clothes efficiently, offers plenty of capacity for larger loads, and the Wrinkle Prevent feature is especially helpful when I can™™t remove clothes right away. The controls are simple to use, the dryer feels solid and well-built, and overall it has performed reliably. I™™m very satisfied with the quality and would definitely recommend it.

Have only had it a couple of weeks but really like it. Much quieter than my previous Kenmore and clothes come out dry on Low setting. Only slight negative it door is somewhat difficult to close but would not stop me from buying it. Overall, very happy.

The dryer does as it designed to do...dry clothes. The heat temperatures options are nice. The size of the drum allows me to dry queen-sized blankets.
I have experienced a minor issue with drying rugs/bathmats. They don't actually tumble but form around the inside of the drum. I use 10 wool dryer balls to help keep things moving around in the drum, but they didn't help when drying the bathmats.
My clothes still come out more wrinkled that I expected they would. If I remove them immediately after the cycle, they are ok, not great, but ok. The extended "Wrinkle Prevent" feature isn't that reliable for keeping wrinkles to a minimum.

So far it's wonderful for a simple dryer had the bells and whistles and now have reverted to using old school basics because the electronic mother board in the newer appliance are a pain.

A horrendous gas leak smell keeps emanating from the dryer. I noticed this the same day in the laundry room, after the Best Buy Installation team left. After my complaint they send a technician who just recommended re-installing the rubber hose to Best Buy. The installation folks were back and were upset with me as they couldn't smell anything, but anyway used a new rubber hose for the gas connection. My guess is the gas is leaking inside the dryer at a very low pace and hence when I do enter the laundry room on average three times in a week, I get this obnoxious smell. Just FYI I never had this problem with the previous dryer which was atleast 20 years old and I used it for the last 10 years which was a Maytag too. The Drying part is good as of now.

This dryer is ok for the price. Low heat doesn't seem to be enough to dry anything, so I have to use medium heat and it seems like it takes a long time. The top of the dryer is very rounded so you can't store a laundry hamper on top. The lint catcher being on the top makes the whole top of the dryer dirty every time you clean it.

Drying time is terrible I have the heat set at the high temperature and still have to run each load twice. Only small loads will dry in one cycle. I had my last dryer which was a Maytag also for over 12 years that is why I chose another Maytag and it was awesome this new one is terrible. I would not recommend buying this one

we bought dryer from a local Big Box store delivered Within delivered within 2 days which was great but when we got it hooked up it didn't work we had to call a repairman from Maytag on the warranty. he said we needed to order a part and it would take 2 to 3 weeks to get the part and that he wouldn't be able to put it in until the following Monday he said we needed to order a part and it would take two to three weeks to get the part and that he wouldn't be able to put it in until the following Monday 4 weeks without a dryer very upsetting especially when we had an elderly person we were taking care of and needed to do laundry everyday.

came with paint default (running paint marks), drum is tall and very narrow so clothes don't dry in a timely fashion. Takes longer to dry same size load in this dryer than in my old dryer that was great but finally bit the dust after 30 yrs. Metal is very thin and flimsy. not real happy with the product. The only reason i went with this one is because of the 10 warranty otherwise i would not recommend.

This dryer is flimsy on the outside. I hope the parts are better built on the inside. I did not get a chance to personally view this dryer before I bought it because I needed a replacement right away. Also the top has a slight curve to it, making things fall off as it is drying. Seems to dry the clothes ok.

The dryer has a large capacity and dries clothes, towels and comforters well. I really like the feature to turn off the alarm as many dryers did not have it. The only issue I have is that if you sit something on top, it will slide off as the top of the dryer is sloped. The wrinkle prevention feature is great.

Everything about this dryer makes me happy except for a squeak it's developed. Dries the clothes beautifully without overheating (I keep it on medium heat as well). The drum size/ capacity is amazing and handles our king comforter. With our old dryer I had to pull comforters and flip them around to get them dry in the middle. Very simple controls and easy to operate. Light inside is great - who knew!! ð The squeak has me concerned given it's only one week old but I needed a running dryer so will deal with it if needed - or it may just be an annoyance.

The dryer door is difficult to close the latch line up does not work one piece is made of metal the other part is plastic the plastic keeps moving around so the metal piece can't get inserted I really think this is a recall problem

I like this dryer for the way it dries clothes, but it started leaking gas only 1 month after the one year warranty expired. The burner assembly had to be replaced and it cost me over $300. So I can™™t recommend it because of the cheap parts it™™s obviously made with. Also, the door does close pretty hard.

* Dryer top is sloped -- NOT flat as that model on display in the store was. If you use the top area to fold clothes , chances are you'll be picking clothes off the floor because top is sloped and clothes slide off.. Had to put foam buffer spacers between washer and dryer, washer vibration will shake the clothes of - but, good exercise!!
* I wanted a door that opens top to down - another flat hold/fold area. Lowes said 'on back order, do'nt know when it will be available.' So, I bought the open from the left to right.. I checked to see if it was made for the door to be reversable, without a 100% inspection. Looked at the dryer frame, and the pre drilled holes are there to reverse the door - but of course, you cannot reverse it because there are NO pre-drilled holes in the door!!!!!!.
* the start knob on the right, (also used for BUZZER ON/OFF) is a hairpin switch. With the buzzer off in the up position, when you hit start, the switch has a 50-50 - chance to drop down to SIGNAL ON WITH THE SLIGHEST TOUCH - great for folks that use buzzer on ! !. .
* on the other hand, the open/close door slide latch switch is extra heavy duty. Actually It is - slam close, and yank open.
